This project aims to formalize a community collaborative of researchers, health providers, individuals and caregivers impacted by IDD, and community organizations to develop a comprehensive research agenda to reduce disparities in Black and Latinx youth with IDD. To inform the research agenda, the project ream and members of the DID-CC met monthly to refine the projects methods and outcomes. To date, this project has 1) developed a governance agreement outlining the groups' roles and responsibilities, 2) conducted environmental scans to identify community resources, and 3) implemented community listening sessions to identify facilitators and barriers to health, educational, and employment resources for Black and Latinx youth with IDD.
